I work in midtown Manhattan, and there happen to be three Sephora stores within close proximity to my office. You can imagine this is dangerous for a beauty product lover like myself. I frequent all three locations.
During one of my visits this spring, a colorful display caught my eye. Guess what? I'm a total sucker for cute packaging. Intrigued by what I had seen, I did a little research when I got home.
Hum Nutrition is a nutrition supplement retailer with a focus on skin, body and your environmental needs. You can take a short lifestyle quiz on their website, and afterward a Hum nutritionist will email you with a suggested regimen. (Keep in mind these recommendations are based on general information, and you should always consult your doctor if you have specific health concerns.) After receiving your recommended nutrient profile, you can modify your personalized subscription and decide if you would like to place an order. After ordering you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly refill plan. If you are only interested in ordering the supplements once, simply remove the items from your personalized subscription after placing your first order. If you do choose to enroll, you can add or subtract from your subscription at any time.
In general I strive to get my nutrients from food, by eating a diversified diet. However, I lead a busy life and there are only so many meals in a day – it’s not always possible for me to get all the necessary nutrients through food alone. I am not a nutritionist, so I cannot speak to how well our bodies actually absorb the nutrients from supplements. What I do know is that I feel better taking them.
I was already taking a few different supplements (Omega 3, Vitamin D, Magnesium and B12) at the time I discovered HUM, so I filled in the gaps and ordered Killer Nails, Daily Cleanse, and Red Carpet. Once a month I get an adorable package in my mailbox. It's convenient and fun to open something bright. It's a little present to myself that I don't have to feel guilty about.
