THE BEAUTY CHEF

Last month I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Carla Oates, founder of The Beauty Chef, at CAP Beauty in the West Village. (All you non-toxic beauty lovers should head to CAP ASAP!) The Beauty Chef is an Australian line of beauty boosters that work from the inside out. What sets this line apart from others is the use of Flora Culture, a bio-fermentation process that produces pre and probiotics, essential for optimal digestion. The Beauty Chef team stands behind the belief that "Beauty begins in the belly." And I couldn't agree more!

The line offers a range of powders and boosts, all with different ingredients based on your specific needs. There are four powders: GLOW, CLEANSE, AGELESS (coming soon!), and BODY, as well as three liquid boosts, COLLAGEN, HYDRATION, and ANTIOXIDANT. After speaking with Carla and her marketing manager, we decided I should try the Glow powder first. Glow is an organic blend of 26 fermented superfoods, including maqui berry, buckwheat, chia, tumeric and dunaliella salina, an algae with a high nutrient content. With regular use, Glow is said to boost collagen synthesis, promote a healthy gut, improve skin texture, and of course, provide that radiant glow we all are after. Add it to smoothies or yogurt, or simply combine with a half glass of water. I enjoy the latter. Glow powder is suitable for skin of all ages. Be sure to refrigerate once opened!

Not only do I believe in the science behind the The Beauty Chef, but having met Carla, I am even more eager to support the brand. This phenomenally successful woman could not have been more down to earth, engaging or kind. I arrived late from the office to the event, and she and her marketing manager sought me out to answer questions I may have missed and to teach me more about the products. It was so refreshing to meet such lovely women. Talk about inner beauty!
