With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I’ve got roses on the brain. But not red roses. I’m talking about all things pink. Celebrate the holiday with a little self love and try adding some of these rosey rituals to your routine!

There’s something very thoughtful about the act of lighting a candle. You do it with intention - to create an ambiance, to enhance an experience or a space. Different scents for different moods - candles can be powerful. My latest candle purchase, which I justify as a little act of self care, is a mini size of Diptyque's limited edition Rose Delight. Each year around Valentine’s Day, the French perfumer releases a special variation of the classic rose, with different notes and different packaging. This year the scent is especially beautiful to match the sweetly decorated votive. I always save the candle holders after the wax has melted down (just use a little hot water and a knife to get the rest of the wax and the base of the wick out, then wipe clean) and repurpose them. The smaller size is perfect for Q Tips, bobby pins, or pastels or vine charcoal if you’re an artist. The large size is great for makeup brushes, pens/markers, paint brushes, etc.

I’m currently on my second jar of this delicious coco rose polish from Herbivore. I’m obsessed! The sugar granules gently exfoliate and dissolve while the coconut oil, shea butter and Moroccan rose leave your skin super soft and moisturized long after the shower. Plus the minimalist packaging looks super chic in the bathroom. The jar is glass so it's a much more eco-friendly choice than plastic alternatives. Also be sure to return your empty to Follain for 10% off your next purchase or to Credo for 20 insider points!

If you want to sparkle when you enter a room, I highly recommend the rose quartz oil from Herbivore. I think I’ve been searching for it all my life. So you can imagine I was thrilled when it launched in November! It’s a hydrating oil, perfect for after your coconut rose exfoliation, that leaves skin with a healthy dose of shimmer. It has tiny mica particles in it to catch the light in a subtle, but made-you-look-twice kind of way, if that makes any sense. It has a very faint, delicate scent which comes naturally from the Moroccan Rose and Rose Geranium. I also love that it comes in an easy to use pump! Oil can be messy but this bottle makes application clean and easy. If you strive to look like a glowing goddess on a regular basis, it’s a must.

Valentine or not, your lips should always look kissable! Use this beautiful rose scrub from French Girl Organics to remove any dead skin and follow up with this rosey lip balm from De Mamiel. The balm boasts an impressive ingredient list, with mango seed butter, evening primrose oil, manuka honey and rose oil - to name a few! It’s the perfect combination to smooth and nourish lips before lipstick application, especially if you plan to rock a festive matte red or pink on the 14th!
